The best adventures aren't always the fastest. They're the ones that leave you feeling more connected to the places you've travelled through.
It's one of the reasons we're proud to support The Nordic Endeavour, whose team have now set off on an extraordinary 3,000 km rowing expedition along the entire Norwegian coastline, from the Russian border in the Arctic to Oslo.
For the next 6–8 weeks, the team will live almost entirely off-grid, calling a small ocean rowing boat home as they make their way through four seas and some of Europe's most remote coastline. They'll catch food where they can, connect with local communities and collect environmental data for scientific research.
It's a slower, more intentional way to experience a place. One that demands resilience, self-sufficiency and a willingness to embrace whatever the journey throws at you so It's exactly the kind of adventure we want to champion.
We're incredibly proud that the team have chosen to wear our 100% Merino Wool T-shirts and Trail Sun Hoodies throughout the expedition!
When you're living from a small rowing boat for weeks on end, every item has to justify the space it takes up. Clothing needs to cope with warm sunshine, cold winds, salt spray, cool evenings and day after day of continuous use and that's exactly why we designed our merino range: versatile clothing that performs across a huge range of conditions, so you can pack less and experience more.
They're only just getting started, yet the expedition has already included beach clean-ups, equipment breakdowns and fresh fish caught by spearfishing for dinner! It's exactly the sort of unscripted adventure we love.
Over the coming weeks we'll be following the team as they make their way south, sharing their progress, the challenges they face and what they're learning along the way. We can't wait to see both the expedition (and our tops!) put to the test.
The expedition is also raising funds for Air Ambulances UK, supporting the vital work of air ambulance crews across the country.

We hope their story inspires you to find an adventure of your own. It doesn't have to be 3,000 kilometres. It just has to begin.
