Official Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Manumit Apparel Ltd (“Manumit”, “we”, “our”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14791808 and registered office at 3 Falcon Road, Plymouth, Devon, United Kingdom, PL1 4GR.

This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Manumit Prize for British & Irish Adventures (the “Prize”) is open to individuals aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

2.2 Entrants may reside anywhere in the world, however the submitted adventure must have taken place in Britain, Ireland, or surrounding waters.

2.3 Employees, contractors, directors, and immediate family members of Manumit Apparel Ltd are not eligible to enter.

2.4 Official Manumit Ambassadors may enter, provided they otherwise meet these Terms & Conditions.

2.5 By entering, you confirm that your adventure was self-funded (not motivated by commercial reward); your adventure was self-planned and not facilitated by a third-party event organiser; and you meet all eligibility criteria set out above. Manumit reserves the right to request reasonable evidence of eligibility.

3. How to Enter

3.1 Entry is free of charge and must be submitted via the official Manumit entry form.

3.2 Entries must include responses to the required sections (Challenge, Inspiration, Impact) and may include up to 10 pieces of supporting visual content.

3.3 Submissions open immediately and close at 23:59 (GMT) on 1 November 2026.

3.4 Late, incomplete, corrupted, or illegible entries will not be accepted.

3.5 Manumit reserves the right to disqualify any entry which contains false information; infringes third-party rights; promotes illegal, unsafe, irresponsible or environmentally harmful conduct; includes offensive, discriminatory, political or commercial messaging; or otherwise breaches these Terms.

4. Judging & Selection

4.1 Entries will be shortlisted by Team Manumit based on the stated criteria: Challenge, Inspiration and Impact.

4.2 The final winner may be determined by a combination of Manumit’s judging panel and public voting.

4.3 The weighting between panel and public vote may be determined at Manumit’s discretion.

4.4 Manumit reserves the right to monitor, verify and disregard suspicious, automated or manipulated voting activity and disqualify any entry benefiting from unfair voting practices.

4.5 The decision of Manumit is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

4.6 There will be no physical awards ceremony.

4.7 The winner will be announced in January 2027. In accordance with CAP Code requirements, the winner’s name and county may be made available upon reasonable request, unless the winner objects at the time of notification.

5. The Prize

5.1 The Prize consists of £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling), payable by bank transfer to one individual only (even in the case of a team entry), and two (2) Manumit T-shirts (size and colour subject to availability).

5.2 The winner is responsible for any personal tax liability arising from acceptance of the Prize.

5.3 There is no cash alternative for any non-monetary element of the Prize.

5.4 Manumit reserves the right to substitute or amend the Prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.

6. Intellectual Property & Content Use

6.1 By submitting an entry, you confirm that you own the rights to all submitted content or have obtained all necessary permissions from relevant rights holders and individuals featured.

6.2 By entering, you grant Manumit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish and communicate your submitted materials for purposes connected with the Manumit Prize; promotion and communication of the Manumit Prize; editorial storytelling relating to the Manumit Prize; and non-consumer communications, including investor or partner presentations relating to the Manumit Prize.

6.3 Manumit will not use submitted content in unrelated commercial advertising without seeking additional permission.

6.4 You waive any moral rights to the extent permitted by law in relation to uses authorised under this clause.

6.5 You agree to indemnify Manumit against any claims arising from breach of this clause.

7. Publicity

7.1 By entering, you consent to Manumit publishing your name, submitted content, and summary of your adventure and profiling your entry across Manumit’s website, newsletter, and social channels.

7.2 Manumit may contact entrants for additional commentary, interviews or media materials relating to the Prize.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

8.1 Manumit Apparel Ltd is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.

8.2 Personal data will be processed for the purposes of administering the competition; contacting entrants; delivering the Prize; and promoting the Manumit Prize as described above.

8.3 Entrants may opt in to receive marketing communications from Manumit. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time.

8.4 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to administer the Prize or where required by law.

8.5 Data will be processed in accordance with Manumit’s Privacy Policy [insert link].

9. Liability

9.1 Participation in any adventure is undertaken entirely at the entrant’s own risk. Manumit has no involvement in, supervision over, or responsibility for the planning or execution of any adventure submitted.

9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manumit excludes all liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense (whether direct, indirect, special or consequential) suffered or incurred by any entrant or third party arising out of or in connection with any adventure undertaken; any act or omission of any entrant; participation in the competition; acceptance or use of the Prize; any technical malfunction, failure, delay, or data loss; or any cancellation, suspension or modification of the competition.

9.3 Manumit shall not be liable for loss of income, profits, revenue, business, contracts or goodwill; loss of anticipated savings; loss or corruption of data; or any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.

9.4 Manumit makes no representations or warranties regarding the Prize and excludes all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9.6 The total aggregate liability of Manumit in relation to the competition shall in all circumstances be limited to the monetary value of the Prize.

9.7 By entering the competition, entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Manumit Apparel Ltd, its directors, employees and agents against any claims, liabilities, losses, damages or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with any breach of these Terms; any infringement of third-party intellectual property or image rights in submitted content; any misrepresentation made by the entrant; or any claim arising from the planning or undertaking of the submitted adventure.

10. General

10.1 Manumit reserves the right to amend these Terms; extend or shorten entry deadlines; cancel, suspend or modify the competition; or disqualify entries where necessary to protect the integrity of the Prize.

10.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

10.3 These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
